Summary

Expediters at WCO work with the serving and kitchen staff to ensure prompt delivery of guest meals and a seamless, enjoyable service experience. 

Responsibilities

Expediter responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Setting up and stocking the Expo line to ensure success. 
  • Checking all prepared food for correctness and presentability as it comes from the kitchen line. 
  • Delivering items to the correct table, as ordered. 
  • Packaging carry-out orders and delivering to the correct place. 
  • Acting as the middleperson between Front of House and Back of House to ensure all information is communicated in an effective and timely manner, including changes to stock and menu items, as well as any specifications or alterations to guest orders. 
  • Breaking down and cleaning the Expo line to health code and company standard.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service
  • Valid State ID or License 
  • SERV Safe Certification preferred 

Dress Code

  • All black, solid. No stripes, polka dots, words, pictures etc.
  • Shoes must be closed toe and have backs on them (they do not have to be black)
  • No tank tops or spaghetti straps of any kind 
  • Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be appropriate length (anyone can wear shorts)
  • No leggings or yoga pants 
  • No sheer clothing 
  • You may wear any company shirts if you have one of those
  • No rips or tears in your clothing
  • Accessories can be personalized (hats, scarves etc.)
  • Any hats are okay but please make sure they are solid black
  • Face masks always. Any color or pattern. The company has face masks available if you forget yours at home. But please make sure to always have one / keep one in your car.

Work Environment:

  • Operates in a standard restaurant environment
  • Moderate to loud noise 
  • Frequent exposure to variable temperature changes and steam 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to Bend, Squat, Run & Physically React in a Prompt Manner 
  • Ability to Lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to Stand for Very Long Periods of Time
