BARTENDER position

Summary

Bartenders with WCO should be approachable, professional and knowledgeable about classic and bespoke cocktails and ingredients in order to provide guests with exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is friendly, tactful, able to retain information regarding cocktail menu and specials, and communicates well with staff and management.

Responsibilities

Bartender responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Prepare and master all cocktails (Includes cocktails not on menu)
Provide friendly, efficient service to guests
Expedite food and drink orders from both staff and guests
Participate in overseeing liquor inventory (Notifying manager when inventory is low)
Communicate any liquor updates to staff (Notify staff immediately when we are out of something, making sure “86” list is up to date)
Cash guests out
Expedite job tasks to barbacks
Convey menu information over the phone to Guests and give accurate estimate of delivery time
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
Fill in for absent staff as needed
Assist with special events as needed
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

Requirements

High School diploma or general equivalent
At least one (1) year experience as a bartender preferred
SERV Safe or TIPS certification highly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor

Dress Code

All black, solid. No stripes, polka dots, words, pictures etc.
Shoes must be closed toe and have backs on them (they do not have to be black)
No tank tops or spaghetti straps of any kind
Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be appropriate length (anyone can wear shorts)
No leggings or yoga pants
No sheer clothing
You may wear any company shirts if you have one of those
No rips or tears in your clothing
Accessories can be personalized (hats, scarves etc.)
Any hats are okay but please make sure they are solid black
Face masks always. Any color or pattern. The company has face masks available if you forget yours at home. But please make sure to always have one / keep one in your car.

Work Environment:

Operates in a standard restaurant environment
Moderate to loud noise
Frequent exposure to variable temperature changes and steam

Physical Demands:

Ability to Bend, Squat, Run & Physically React in a Prompt Manner
Ability to Lift 35 lbs.
Ability to Stand for Very Long Periods of Time
